Below are links to our proposed Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. Please review. Should you have any questions, please contact our Elders (elders@Thrive.com).
For the last several months, the Elders have been working to update the Church's Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, which describe the formal governing structure of the Church. The current Articles were last updated in 1969, and the Bylaws were last updated in 1999; therefore, a number of changes were needed to reflect our current operations and church best practices. To save printing costs, we encourage you to use the links above and review each of the documents carefully. However, if you are unable to access this website, paper copies of each document will be available.
Our current bylaws require a congregational meeting and vote to approve these documents. Thus, the Elders are calling a special congregational meeting immediately after the 11:00 worship service on Sunday, March 5. Members and non-members are encouraged to attend, but only members can vote. In an effort to keep the meeting short, the Elders ask that you review these documents documents prior to the congregational meeting. Any questions you have can be submitted to the Elders via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are unable to attend the meeting, absentee ballots will be available in the lobby each Sunday beginning February 19. Because of our meeting quorum requirements, it is very important for members who cannot attend to provide an absentee ballot. In addition to voting on the Articles and Bylaws, Elders will also review the 2016 financials and recently approved 2017 budget.
In His Service,
The Elders of Thrive Christian Church
